3D Surgery Animation

Specialized in eye healthcare and eye surgery products, Bausch + Lomb is one of our leading Global Healthcare Clients; We collaborated with a vision to create a 3D surgery animation video of cataract surgery to convey the benefits and characteristics of MICS needle used by surgeons during cataract surgery.

To visually amplify the functionality, characteristics and benefits of Bausch & Lomb`s MICS needle used in the medical surgery of Cataract procedure and the visual experience of our client`s clientele for easy comprehension of the complex medical terms; We curated two versions of the project in three-dimensional animation to satisfy different needs of our client.

A short version: The objective of this short 3D surgery animation was for marketing and promotional efforts; to advocate the uses of the MICS needle and stimulate the sales of the product to our client Bausch & Lomb’s clientele. A long version: The objective of this long 3D surgery animation was for educational purposes, to train and educate the complex technicality and functionality of the MICS needle involved in the cataract procedure in detail to our client Bausch & Lomb`s clientele.

How & who did it?

Due to our 10+ years of expertise in the Healthcare Industry, we possess a strong medical and scientific community in Europe. We work closely with leading surgeons and doctors from various different medical fields to obtain firsthand advisory regarding different medical procedures.

With every project we undertake, we ensure that we saught advisory and discuss about the medical process with our medical consultants, medical affairs and medical regulatory to fully understand the concept and create a truly meaningful video for our clients.

For Bausch & Lomb, to conceptually understand the functionality of the MICS needle used in the cataract surgery, we worked closely with a leading French ophthalmologist with extensive experience in the field to help us execute the concept through our creative 3D surgery animation.

To visually recreate the concept, our creative team worked closely together with highly experienced 3D animators, graphic designers and artistic director to create a realistic video of cataract surgery emphasizing on it’s practicability.

From pre-production to post-production our scientific & medical community and creative team worked hand in hand extensively in a collaborative information exchange process to create a truly meaningful 3D surgery animation video of cataract surgery procedure for our client Bausch & Lomb.

In each step of the production process of the 3D medical surgery : from Script Writing, Pack shot of the MICS needle, 3D animation (modulation, texturing, lighting) & Sound Design to post-production of the 3D medical surgery our creative team ensured the detailing and precision of the MICS needle was translated well in a visually pleasing manner.
